I’ve been a Kingwood resident since 1999, and I’ve spent more than a decade helping buyers and sellers throughout Northeast Houston.

As a REALTOR® with REMAX Universal, I’ve worked with people in many different stages of life. One thing I’ve learned is that no two real estate situations are exactly alike, especially when someone’s housing needs begin to change.

That’s one reason I earned my Seniors Real Estate Specialist® designation.

What Is a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®)?

A Seniors Real Estate Specialist® is a REALTOR® who has completed specialized education to better serve the real estate needs of adults age 50 and older.

The SRES® designation is offered through the National Association of REALTORS® and focuses on housing decisions that often accompany retirement, lifestyle changes, financial planning, and family transitions.

This specialized training includes understanding:

• Downsizing and selling longtime family homes

• Housing options for adults 50 and older

• Retirement relocation and lifestyle changes

• Financial considerations involving home equity

• Estate planning, inheritance, and probate-related real estate concerns

• The emotional aspects of leaving a family home
